Thoughts…
Luke 15:7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
I came across this verse in one of the forums today and I had a short reflection on it.
My first thought was that I’d much rather be part of the ninety-nine righteous persons than the one sinner because that one sinner causes a lot of pain to the Lord.
But that one sinner also gives a lot of joy to the Lord.
Which brings me to the conclusion that maybe there can be no joy without pain.
Which sucks big time.

why does he give joy to the lord?
but yes i do agree with that. shopping brings me joy, but shopping needs money. money spent on shopping will be less money spent on proper food. no proper food means weird things happen to my tummy, and constipation, and gastric. which equals pain.
so yes, there can be no joy without pain.

He gives joy to the Lord because he does. Lol, I’m sorry, I suck at explaining. I’ll try:
Like… if you lose a coin and you find it back, you’d be more happy on finding back your coin than on the other coins in your purse… Please replace “coin” with something more valuable, coins are worth so little these days…
(If you’re interested, you can read about the story of the Lost Coin and the Lost Son in Luke Chapter 15
But yeah… there can be no joy without pain.. sigh…
